3 Ways To Style Trousers For Spring & Summer

When it comes to pants, trousers will forever be my go-to’s. I know I know, I’ve said this a thousand times. For whatever reason I have always found jeans extremely uncomfortable, especially in the hot summer months. And aside from dresses, I am not one to wear an awful lot of shorts during the summer. The lighter and looser material of trousers make these the perfect pant for spring and summer. Wether its for work or just a weekend out with friends and family I have styled some of my favourites trousers three different ways.

1.The Summer Office Party

I would say this is my favourite outfit but I think all three of these outfits are my favourite.. Here I’ve styled the Zara High-Waisted Pant with a simple white button down. Not only is this the perfect outfit for the office but its also the perfect choice for those looking for a more modest styling of trousers. When styling oversized button downs I always opt for a high rise trouser. You should always be the most important part of an outfit and so although wearing oversized button-downs with low rise trousers is totally okay opting for a high rise means your waist and shape won’t get lost in the clothing. With this season having loads of beautiful neutrals, opting for neutral trousers and a white top gives this outfit that light and fresh summer feel.

2.The Date Night

For this date night look I have gone for an all black outfit. Although most and even I opt for lighter colour palettes during the summer, nothing stops me from wearing a beautiful monochrome black outfit for going out. Keeping it classy and just a little bit more edgy I have paired my Club Monaco black trousers with this double breasted blazer. Although seemingly simple, I added a black lace bustier underneath the blazer and black strappy heels, two additions that instantly make this outfit night out worthy. The final touch of this outfit is a pop of colour. Although I have decided to go with a red wristlet, adding a fun lip colour is also a perfect way to bring some colour to this outfit. Just by swapping out some simple pieces this outfit will take you from the office to your dinner date in mere minutes.

3.The Garden Party

Okay so I think THIS is my favourite. For this outfit I wen for a simple white cami, Mango trousers and my favourite white espadrilles. Staying with a neutral palette these pieces keep the outfit light and fresh for summer. Choosing these elasticated trousers just means they are a far more comfortable, and I mean who doesn’t love buttonless pants?! One of my favourite ways to dress down fabrics is by adding fabrics that are rougher and less dressier. For this outfit, the canvas and jute in the espadrilles subtly dress down the fabrics while still giving this look and effortless and feminine touch.

What was your favourite outfit? What’s your favourite Spring outfit? What are you spring/summer go-to pieces?
