3 Simple Work From Home Outfits

It’s no surprise that the worlds’ current situation is anything but easy. For many, this has brought about difficult situations and unwanted emotions. Nevertheless, I want to remind everyone to support those around you and to take care of yourselves.

Despite that, I am aware that many of us still need some normalcy and with that I wanted to share with you 3 outfits that, no matter your situation, you’ll be able to recreate. Having been home for almost two entire weeks I have had good and bad days. There are days where I get up and want to get into a fabulous outfit just to tackle my couch. But just as I have good days, there are days where I am tired and quite honestly just feel like putting on soft and comfy pieces. So regardless of how you feel, here are 3 simple outfits that will suit whatever sort of workday you’re having.

The Conference Call

For those of us who still have to partake in conference calls and look presentable, this is your outfit. For this I chose my Levi’s Wedgie Fit jeans, a simple crew neck, and a black blazer. Levis denim can often be a little rigid so for days where I want to be more comfy I always opt for my Old Navy jeans. And if you haven’t got yourself a pair of Old Navy jeans what are you waiting for?! For the top I chose a simple black blazer because you just can’t go wrong with this. Not to mention that it offers versatility, so as soon as your conference call is finished you can grab that cozy sweater and swap it out for the blazer.

The Average Day

I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it. I love a good pair of trousers. So for a typical day in the house this is the perfect outfit for that desk-to-couch transition. For this, I chose a pair of straight leg trousers. These offer a little more wiggle room and aren’t as tight as a more traditional trouser, so they’re the ideal choice. For the top I grabbed a pink H&M sweater and paired it with a white tank underneath. This is a trick I love to use as it creates separation and can add a pop of colour to any outfit.

The Half-and-Half

And then there are days where the only thing I feel like doing is laying in bed and watching my favourite Netflix show. For days like this I propose to you the half-and-half technique. Presentable on the top and comfy on the bottom.  If you’re like me and have yet to put your turtlenecks away, then this is your outfit. With the turtleneck I used my trick and added a white tank underneath. And of course we have the infamous Lululemon pants. Perhaps the most worn and comfortable pants I own. The perfect outfit for yet another work from home day.

And for my lovely non-Canadian readers, here we typically don’t wear shoes in the house so if you’re wondering why I’m barefoot there’s your answer. Makes outfit decisions that much easier !
